SLTAcademy will offer Broadway Basic classes for young actors interested in theatre. Broadway Basics Classes will be offered January 21 through March 30. The ten-week long course offerings are designed to give students a taste of theatre with training in acting, singing, dancing, and devised theatre.

SLTAcademy’s staff of teaching artists, all of whom hold Master degrees, will teach classes. Leading the acting portion of classes will be Anna Maria Sparke, with dance being led by Roshanda Spears, devised theatre led by Avyuann Penn, and vocal classes by Liesl Cruz.

Courses are designed for specific age levels: Sophomore classes (ages 6-9), Junior Classes (ages 10-13), and Senior classes (ages 14-17). Students will attend classes once a week in their chosen discipline. Each class can be registered for individually. If your student is interested in all classes, a discount is offered for registering in all three disciplines.

Tuition ranges from $60 – $150 for the entirety of the course and includes high-quality, professional instruction and age-appropriate curricula. A 10% discount is given for families with multiple actors enrolled in courses and for actors who enroll in all 4 courses. For additional information or to register, email sltacademy@gmail.com or visit the academy’s website at https://www.sltacademy.org .
